Our Endoscopy Department offers diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to help detect and treat various health conditions. Using specialized equipment, doctors can visually examine areas inside the body through natural openings, making these procedures minimally invasive and highly effective.

Procedures We Offer

• Gastroscopy – Examines the esophagus, stomach, and upper small intestine to detect issues such as ulcers, inflammation, or abnormal growths.
• Colonoscopy – Examines the colon and rectum, often used for cancer screening and to detect inflammation, polyps, or abnormal tissues.

Our specially trained physicians work closely with the Provincial Colorectal Screening Program to identify any cancerous growths and ensure early detection and treatment.

How to Prepare for Your Procedure

Your doctor will provide specific instructions before your appointment. It’s important to follow all guidelines carefully to ensure your procedure goes smoothly.

• Fasting and Bowel Preparation: Follow all instructions regarding fasting and bowel preparation exactly as directed. Incorrect preparation may result in delays, rescheduling, or cancellation of your procedure.
• Medication: You may receive medication to help you relax during the procedure. If you do, you will not be able to drive afterward and must arrange for a responsible person to take you home.
• Time Commitment: Be prepared to stay for 2–4 hours for the entire process, including preparation and recovery time.
